BOOKS
The Momentos World Books division is dedicated to the creation of artistic publications, photographic works and documentary formats that preserve and expand the ephemeral nature of performance and cultural exchange.
It operates as a platform for visual, written and interdisciplinary documentation, transforming artistic processes into long-term cultural and educational archives.
The development of photographic books and documentary publications within Momentos World began in 2013 with the opening of Momentos Innsbruck. This initiative emerged through the collaboration with Austrian photographer Günter Holzleitner, whose work focused on documenting the ephemeral and transformative nature of each artistic creation.
Since then, BOOKS has become an integral part of Momentos World’s methodology, ensuring that artistic processes are not only performed, but also reflected, recorded and shared as cultural knowledge.
In the context of the 10-year development of Momentos World as an international artistic network between Europe and Brazil, the platform initiated an ambitious editorial project: a trilingual documentary publication in German, English and Portuguese, documenting a decade of artistic creation, research and intercultural collaboration across seven cities.
The book, titled “5 SENTIDOS SENSES SINNE”, brings together photography, written reflections and artistic documentation, offering a multi-perspective account of artistic processes, experiences and developments within Momentos World.
Its publication is supported through an international cultural funding and sponsorship network, including partners such as ALLIED, the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Embassy of Austria in Brasília, and Megaton.
Knowledge, Memory & Artistic Legacy
BOOKS functions as a core component of Momentos World’s broader commitment to cultural memory and artistic research.
It transforms ephemeral artistic processes into lasting documentary and editorial formats, contributing to the development of transnational cultural archives that connect artistic practice, education and intercultural dialogue.
Through this work, Momentos World positions itself not only as a platform for artistic production, but also as a space for knowledge preservation, reflection and cultural documentation.
